1. Cryptographic Hash Validation
Every document processed through ViViD eSigner undergoes rigorous cryptographic hashing using the SHA-256 algorithm. This creates a unique mathematical fingerprint of the document.
Any alteration to the document, even a single pixel or character, will drastically change this hash, instantly invalidating the signature and alerting all parties of tampering.
2. PKCS#7 & PAdES Standard
Our signatures are embedded directly into the PDF document in compliance with the PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures (PAdES) standard and utilizing PKCS#7 cryptographic message syntax.
This means the signature travels with the document. You can verify the integrity and legal validity of the signed document offline using standard PDF readers (like Adobe Acrobat) without relying on ViViD eSigner's servers.
3. Biometric & OTP Authorization
To ensure non-repudiation, signer identity is verified at the exact moment of signing through multiple factors:
- Device Biometrics: Utilizing Apple Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello via the WebAuthn standard to prove intent.
- Aadhaar eKYC: Integrating directly with UIDAI infrastructure for robust OTP-based identity confirmation in India.
4. Authorized Time Stamping
Every digital signature is sealed with an independent Time Stamp Authority (TSA) token. This ensures that the exact date and time of the signature are recorded independently of the user's local device clock, establishing irrefutable chronological proof.
