This certificate is a self-signed, self-owned digital credential generated autonomously by the owner using the eSigner platform. Unlike traditional CA-issued certificates, the identity validation is performed directly by the creator of the key pair.

By generating or using this certificate, the creator asserts sole ownership of the private key corresponding to the public key contained in this certificate. The identity represented in the Subject Field is declared directly by the owner.

This certificate is securely linked to the user's digital signature. Its configuration is optimized for the following intended usages:

• Digital Signature: Providing secure proof of the signer's intent.
• Undeniable Proof: Protecting against denial of the signing act.
• Email Protection: Securing communication and protecting against tampering.
• Document Signing: Providing secure authentication on PDF and office documents.
• Authentic Documents: Ensuring the document has not been altered.

Self-signed digital signatures constitute standard "electronic signatures" under various global legal frameworks (such as the US ESIGN Act, EU eIDAS regulation, and India's Information Technology Act, 2000).

While self-signed signatures are just as secure and highly secure as third-party issued signatures, the trust relies entirely on the direct verification between the signing parties (e.g., through pre-shared certificates or mutual agreement).
