Section 1: macOS Apple Helper (.pkg) Installation Guide
Detailed step-by-step walkthrough to install the PKG helper and bypass macOS Gatekeeper security:
Step 1: Download the .pkg File
Click the "Download macOS Helper (.pkg)" button above to save the installer to your Downloads folder.
Step 2: Run Terminal Quarantine Removal (Recommended)
macOS blocks non-App Store open-source PKG files by default. Run this 1-line command in Terminal to bypass Gatekeeper:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/ViViD-Sign-Bridge-macOS.pkg
1. Open Terminal app on your Mac (Press Cmd + Space, type Terminal, press Enter).
2. Paste the copied command above and press Enter.
3. Enter your Mac login password when prompted (characters will not show while typing), then press Enter.
Step 3: Run the .pkg Installer
Go to Downloads folder, double-click ViViD-Sign-Bridge-macOS.pkg, and click "Continue" to finish installation.
Alternative Method (Right-Click Open Method)
If you prefer not using Terminal: Finder ➔ Downloads folder ➔ Right-Click (Control-Click) ViViD-Sign-Bridge-macOS.pkg ➔ Select Open ➔ Click "Open".
Section 2: Chrome Extension Installation Guide
Detailed step-by-step walkthrough to load the extension in Google Chrome, Brave, or Edge:
Step 1: Download & Unzip the .zip Package
Click the "Download Chrome Extension (.zip)" button above and double-click the zip file in Downloads to unzip it into a folder.
Step 2: Open Chrome Extensions Page
Open the following URL in your Google Chrome browser address bar:
chrome://extensions
Step 3: Enable Developer Mode
On the Chrome Extensions page, turn ON the "Developer mode" toggle switch located at the top-right corner.
Step 4: Click "Load unpacked" and Select Folder
Click the "Load unpacked" button on the top-left, navigate to Downloads, and select the unzipped extension folder.
